[Taki and Sheila are off to take a bath together! How nice and friendly. Let's join them! Session start.] * Taki looks at Sheila, "Have you been where we're going?" [Sheila does follow you off. Now that you aren't distracted by the talking people, who have gone back to the celebrating, you can see that the vast majority of the people are dancing now. Most of the people and children that aren't, that you can see, are resting. Sheila nods. "There are a set of springs that sometimes get flooded by the river, so they're cold, and sometimes aren't, so they're warm. You're lucky, usually we just wash in the slow parts of the river."] (cut off at "the slow parts o") (slow parts of the river.") So are they hot or cold now? [Sheila looks slightly embarassed as you begin to walk out of the light of the fire. She takes a torch from near the outskirts to light your way. "I don't know. We were out on the hunt for days."] * Taki thinks about that for a bit and then nods, "We will have to find out then." [You walk by torchlight through the dark forest. Night has definitely fallen. She says cheerily, "We will!" She pauses for a second, then says, "I'm sorry I didn't offer to rub your arm, I just remembered how much you didn't like the back ride."] ...I do not like people touching me, and you took me by surprise. [Sheila nods a little. "So all I have to do is ask from now on. Okay!"] * Taki eyes Sheila, "the answer will most likely be no." [Sheila says, "You must have grown up with some sad people."] (Question note: How late do you feel like playing? You're aproaching the point where I could start to join up Arisa, and Rowyn's up for playing.) (Okay, carry on. ^^) * Taki shakes her head, "I grew up with very happy people, it's everything that's happend since..." [Sheila makes a small aahing noise, and then says, "Oh, we're here!"] [The noise of the river has gotten louder in the direction you've gone, but you're sure it's still a ways off.] * Taki blinks, and looks around, "We are?" [She waves the light a little farther forward, and you can see the small pool of water. There is no sulfery smell at all.] (Taki would know a bit of hotspring trivia about non-sulfer hotsprings, but I've forgotten everything except that they're all numbered and are supposed to have different health benifits depending on what's in them) (You've got me.) (It doesn't matter anyway!) [Sheila takes the knife from the place it was on her back and scrapes out a little hole for the torch to fit, near the pool, and puts it in there upright. It makes the entire pool area pretty much lit. It's enough pool for 6 or 7 people, easy.] * Taki sniffs the air before walking past Sheila over to the pool and holding a hand out over it, to feel for warmth. [It's warm. Not amazingly warm, at least, the air isn't.] * Taki nods to herself and then pauses before looking around again, "A western style bath it is then." [Sheila says, "What?" as she reaches down to her chest and pulls something from the 'clothing' she has there, causing it to open up at the middle.] It's not important. Soap is though. [Sheila blinks again. "Soap? We have a soaproot..." she leans over to a rock and checks it, pulling up perhaps a half-dozen cured roots. "We keep them near the pools."] * Taki starts to take off her barrowed clothes, "Close enough." [Sheila nods brigtly and does the same to her lower body wrap, pushing it off. For what it's worth, all her taking her clothes off reinforces is the fact that she's a lean and well toned woman. Then she giggles and eases herself into the pool.] * Taki finishes undressing gets into the water, and Sheila can see all her little scars. (not that her clothes covered much of them, but if the waters anywhere near warm her skin'll start turning pink and they'll stay white) [The water is actually pretty warm. Maybe even a bit hot. No wonder Sheila eased herself in.] [Sheila doesn't stare, at least, although she does say, "Ow. Those look bad." She has one or two scars, herself, but they're all jagged and/or obviously animal-caused.] * Taki nods and twists one of her arms around so she can look at the scars along it, "All the magic it took to make me here, and they couldn't fix these." [Sheila does look, and says, "You said before you couldn't get back, and brought here, and all that... where are you from then? Is it across the ocean?'] * Taki leans back against the side of the pool, "I lived in a city biger than the earth peoples called Tokyo. It is on the largest of a group of islands that make up the country of Japan. They in turn are on a different world than this one. No elemental crystals, no fire people, no earth people. Just humans. And most of them didn't have any magic." [Sheila's eyes widen. "And the gods? Was it made by the four gods?"] * Taki shakes her head, "Depends on who you ask. Some will say that there is only one, and others that that one is three, and still others will say that there are hundreds of gods. I'm starting to belive the faction that says there is none." [Sheila looks stunned for a second, then shakes her head. "That is a weird story, Takishimiru." She then stretches and makes happy mming noises.] * Taki relaxes in the hot water, "s'what happens when you've got a few thousand years to make things up." [Sheila giggles slightly. "I guess if there's no magic or other people either, then it could get confusing."] Yes. Although...The magic I inheareted... Does come in water, fire, earth, and wind. * Taki looks thoughtful. [Sheila mms, then says, "Maybe they are the same, I don't know... nobody knows what happened to the gods, or where they came from, or nothing. Aah." She sinks lower in the pool. "I haven't had a warm bath in a long time."] (* RDM types out, "If I ever see one, I'll be sure to ask." and then forcefully reminds himself he isn't playing Keika.) * Taki nods, "they are nice." [Sheila mms, and says softly, "Would you like a shoulder rub yet, Takishimiru? Or could I help you with the soaproot?"] * Taki experementaly lifts her right arm a bit, "Pass the soaproot." [Sheila grabs a handful of soaproot and dips it in the water, before rubbing it together, and then passing one of the leaves to you. She takes the other and scrubs at one of her own arms. It doesn't really seem to bubble up that much.] * Taki takes the leaf and starts to scrub herself down, doing as much of the work as possible with her left hand. [It doesn't foam up much, but it does a bit. It's a bit abrasive too. But anything you wanted to get off, is totally getting off. Sheila has joined you in the process, including standing up at various times.] * Taki does her best to ignore Sheila, it's rude to look, and she also has to stand up to scrub the mud off of legs and such. [Sheila doesn't seem to be doing nearly as good a job of ignoring you. Maybe she just doesn't think it's rude. Eventually, she just sits back and aahs again. "I'm not even sad I'm missing the dancing, now."] * Taki glances at the leaf in her hand, "They will still be at it when you get back." * Taki ducks her head underwater and stays down for a bit. * Taki comes back up and tries to was her hair with the leaf, but it's not working too well since she keeps wincing when she tries to lift her right arm up high enough. [Sheila sees this and says, smiling happily, "Can I wash your hair, Takishimiru? Please?"] * Taki snaps out,"Yes! Yes you can please wash my hair." [Sheila flinches very slightly, but then smiles and gestures her way. "Come here, then?"] * Taki walks twords Sheila if the pool is shallow enough, and swims if it isn't. [It's shallow enough to walk.] * Taki stops when she's a short distance from Sheila and hands over her soaproot leaf befor turning her back to Sheila. [Sheila stands up too, and begins to soap your hair down, and says, "Wow, Takishimiru, your hair is really nice and clean."] (It's brand new and if you're paying attention still has that new car smell! XD) (...) I took a lot of baths. [Sheila giggles. "I can tell." She continues scrubbing. Scrubby scrub scrub.] * Taki leans her head back, "Perha...no." [Sheila says cheerily, "Mmm?"] * Taki speaks quitly, "My hair used to be a lot longer, but here..." * Taki then snorts again, "She'd get mad at me for feeling guilty over something pratical." [Sheila nods along, still stroking/scrubbing. "Oh, I think you'd look great with long hair! Although it'd be hard to keep clean, there are some girls who do anyway."] Mhmmm.... Maybe I will grow it back out. [Sheila grins. "Neat! I wonder if it'll have more colors. Will it have more colors?"] Just the two. [Sheila nods. "They're still nice colors." She eyes the hair, and nods. "Water wash time, Takishimiru!" * Taki bends her knees and dunks her head back under again, running a hand through her hair while she's down there. [Sheila starts soaping up her own hair while you're down there, not that you could really tell.] * Taki comes back up before she starts to run out of air and uses her hand keep her bangs from sticking to her face, "Much better." [Sheila smiles at you while soaping up her hair, and has a seat, dunking her head under the water quickly.] [Sheila comes up and smiles at you. "See, that wasn't so bad, letting me wash your hair."] * Taki looks back at Sheila, "no it wasn't. Thank you." [Sheila smiles even more widely, and says, "Can I rub your shoulder now? It looked pretty bad..."] * Taki turns her head and looks down at it, "I did over do it with the axe... But if you try anything funny...." [Sheila blinks. "Funny? What's wrong with funny?" She gestures near her. "I like funny. Sit down, Takishimiru!"] * Taki keeps standing, "Many, many things." [She looks at you, confused. "Well, I'm not a storyteller, so I'm not usually that funny."] * Taki rubs her forehead, before she goes to sit down, "The shoulder only." [Sheila ahs and nods. "Of course! Why would I rub your back if I were trying to rub your shoulder?"] Just...get on with it. [Sheila begins to rub your shoulder, and says, cheerfully, "Lean back, if you want."] * Taki sits stiffly upright. [Sheila continues rubbing your shoulder anyway, and says, softly, "So, who were you imagining?"] What? ["Imagining. When you were hitting things. Me, I always imagine James, because he's lousy and mean and always steals my kills and told everyone I was ugly." She sniffles and continues to rub your shoulder.] Oh... I'll... tell you later. I've learned to avoid thinking about things that make me angry when I'm in the water. [Sheila nods a little, you can tell, by the movement of her body behind you. She continues rubbing your shouler. "So, are you gonna celebrate soon, or tell the story to Krystal instead?"] * Taki relaxes a bit, "I'll tell the story." [Sheila oohs and nods. She's good at these shoulder rub things. "It's a shame you can't celebrate, but a story's good."] * Taki relaxes some more, "It's a short story, only happened this afternoon." [Sheila nods, and says, "So, um, what's this Japan like? Do you hunt there?"] * Taki looks distant for a moment, "no..." [Sheila hrms, and presses particularly hard for a split second. "Oh. I bet you fish, right? Although maybe not you." * Taki keeps talking but it's more to herself than to Sheila, "now... in all the stories horrible things happen if I tell you what we do instead, but since the earth people and the fire people both have cities they should be doing it already...What do they eat?" ["Um... I think the earth people eat plants. The fire people eat meat, I've heard, but I've never seen one."] * Taki nods, "And the earth people grow lots of plants in one big place?" [Sheila says, "That would make sense... since they don't go anywhere. I don't know. I don't even see earth people much."] [Rub rub rub. She doesn't show any signs of stopping. She even brings up hand-cuppings of water and uses the heat to help.] (You get to make your vision check!) (I get to open my char sheet!) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6) and gets 4. (Yes, I get to _make_ my vision check) [As Sheila continues to rub, you see a firelight approaching in the distance.] * Taki raises her arm, "Somebodies coming." (Which arm?) (The one she's working on) [Sheila blinks and says, "But I'm not done!" She peers off into the distance. "Don't worry about it. It's probably just more people who want a bath."] And it might not be. [Sheila clucks her tongue, and says, "Well, my knife's in my shorts, if you really want to get out and be cold and worried. Or you could just relax."] Getting in and out won't take me any time at all. (Well, if you're gonna teleport, do it soon. ^_~) (She's going to wait and see who it is first, no point in getting out if she doesn't have to, but landing the teleport and then doing something else is a lot easier without Sheila hanging onto her) [Sheila pouts slightly, being denied her shoulder-rubbing.] [The story continues in 'A Warm Reunion'!]
