[It is somewhere between 4-5 hours after the two girls arrived in this land. Taki the Antisocial, having decided not to go to the party, has been left out of Frubi, Julie, and Arisa's preperations, which may well suit her just fine. The sun is beginning to go down in the west.] [Taki is otherwise unwatched, and Vrmy has been taken away, leaving the circle unocupied. Guna is flitting around like a good little housewife while Frubi prepares.] [WNN: Session 3: Taki Side. Start!] (You do know where the river is, if you like. You managed to ask Frubi or Guna.) (right) [Guna flits into the room again! He's still wearing his robes. Apparently that's formal enough dress. He glances at Taki, but immediately goes off into anothe room. This isn't anywhere near the first time he's done either of those things.] * Taki drums her finger on the axe and shakes her head, waiting for his wife to tell her where she can go. She also silently decides that two more visits from Guna and he's going to provide something to hit. [A bit of time passes, and Frubi strides into the room, wearing a sparkly green ribbony-thing. She looks over at Taki and says, warmly, "Didn't you want to go somewhere?"] Yes, yes I did, unfortunatly I don't know where anything around here IS. Which makes getting there...difficult at best. [Frubi says, "I thought you were going to the river. Gun said you asked about the direction. Were you looking for somethin' else?" * Taki lifts her axe, "I want to hit something, I want to hit many many things." And it would be rude to use all you nice people who went through all the trouble of getting me here to save you. [Frubi blinks, seemingly taken aback, then says, "Well, you can't really beat the river. Rocks and anything that's left of the trees in this world surround the Yu'mon River and its children."] * Taki snorts, "I can beat the river, but shards tend to go flying everywhere. Dead trees on the other hand would be perfect." [Frubi mms. "You might even find something to eat." She looks you over, then gasps, "Oh, I left Jul'pmak'guby alone! Excuse me."] [Frubi runs out. Busy busy!] Right, I'll just be off then. Which way is out of here? (Taki says to the empty room.) (You know which way is outish. Frubi came _in_ that way. ^^;) (Earlier.) * Taki sighs, tries to balance the axe on her shoulder and goes to the door she first saw Frubi come in through, hopefull there isn't a maze of hallways on the other side. [No maze of hallways! It's the city! Frubi and Guna's house actually resides on a bit of a hill, giving you a view of the city...(cont)] (::hits the spacebar!::) [It's full of earthen or rock buildings, which is no real surprise. In the distance you can see an absolutely enormous inverted basin-looking place that could be a arena or somesuch. You are on the south-east side of the city, you can tell by looking around. And to the south, in the distance, you can see sorta a mudplain, with trees, but it's a good ways off. This city is also on a large hill of its own, you can tell.] [Some people bustle by, looking like Guna and Frubi, wearing different types of clothing, most of them earthtones or blues. A few of them give you strange looks in passing, but none of them frown at you. The people seem happy, although many walk slowly, even they have smiles on their faces.] * Taki takes a short moment to look around her new world, but there is a rather more pressing issue right now so she picks a large looking tree to the south, and wants to be there. (got dice?) (That should be... ouside range. +2 penalty.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6) and gets 7. (bah! Nothing happens!) (no wait! It does, I've got minus 3!) [Taki doesn't go anywhere, and feels sorta woozy doing it.] [A kid walks up and stares at Taki.] (Power usage teleport is -3 which gives a six which is success, but if it doesn't work it doesn't work, Taki isn't used to the wide open spaces anyway ^^) (Heh.) * Taki glares at the kid, "Don't mind me, I'm lost." * Taki looks for a closer landmark and tries again. [The kid shies back a little, and then his mom runs up and grabs him up. She apologizes to you quietly. There are a few boulders scattered about, moreso in the dryer part of the plain.] * Taki nods at the mother and then... (Penalties for picking a rock that looks halfway to the tree?) (No penalty, although it is at the edge of your range.) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6-3) and gets 8. (I'm gonna DR that... Dicehate and all) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6-3) and gets 3. * Taki vanishes before their very eyes! (And doesn't put a field up because this isn't Arcana.) [Taki feels for a second as if a headache's beginning, and then, whf-ump! She's standing just on the town-side of the rock.] [You can still see the tree in the distance, although it looks pretty large now. The boulder you were looking at is pretty big too: The height of the town made the sizes, and the distance, deceptive. No wonder you were having trouble.] * Taki looks at the rock, "That would expl... Everything is too damn far apart here." * Taki walks around to the southern side of the rock and goes again. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6-3) and gets 7. (facepalms) [Dammit, they ARE too far apart here. The tree almost seems to wave at you with its top branches, and then, a strong and dusty gust of wind whips by you as well.] * Taki remains right where she is, "How frigging BIG is that tree?" * Taki turns her face away from the blowing wind, "Argh." [The wind was just a gust, and so dies down. The tree, and its friends in the distance, continue to wave at you, though.] * Taki glares at the happy waveing tree. It's taunting her is what it's doing, then she tries again, knowing it's a longer way this time. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6-3) and gets 5. [Suddennly, the tree's a lot closer, and it is quite a sizable tree, as are its friends. You also hear the extremely loud noise of rushing water.] (You actually can't really see past it. You put yourself pretty close.) * Taki grins up at the tree, "Just you wait... I might still be here in a few hundred years when it's your time." But for now, let's see if any of your freinds are fair game. [The tree doesn't respond. This isn't the Magical Adventures of Taki the Dryad.] * Taki walks around the tree so she can see... more trees! [There are more trees around, although it's not dense. There are also other plants around, some short, some large. They all seem to have very hardy bark, hardier than any normal tree. Also, as you move around the tree, a MASSIVE river comes into view, perhaps a half a kilometer off. You can tell there's another side, because there are trees on the horizon, but... you can't see the land on the other side.] * Taki stares at the river for a bit, but pure awe can't override "HURT THINGS!" for very long, so she goes back to her target hunt, not even bigger than big trees can last forever. [There is a mix of sparse foliage about, enough that Taki could certainly find SOMETHING that that axe could hurt.] (::has a bit of intra-Taki argument going on in his head, please hold.:: @@;;;) (Holding!) ( Why would I hit the live trees? Because I don't care. But I DO! I'm not you anymore. That's not enough of a reason! Is too. Not! is!) (Snicker. Well, if you like, I can bring the distraction up now. ^_~) (Go for it. @_@) (Then make a perception check!) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6) and gets 8. (Failed by two!) [Taki still sees lots of trees. She's so focused on looking for something to hurt, she doesn't notice until something jumps on her back and giggles wildly, and says, "Wheee!" in a female voice.] GRack! [A smattering of other giggling from behind you pipes up, but the loudest voice is the female one. And she certaintly feels female, too. Not too heavy.] * Taki tries to run backwords into the tree that's somewhere behind her, "GET OFF!" (Roll luck.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6) and gets 8. (Man, I'm feeling the luv tonight!) [The voice continues laughing and such, right up until you topple backwards onto her, tripping over a root. She oofs loudly in your ear and relaxes her grip.] [You are most likely thankful that the ground isn't really as muddy as it looks.] (Yeah, somewhere the calm rational bit of her that does laundry) (You can most likely extricate yourself with an opposed body roll, but she doesn't seem that strong.) * Taki tries to roll off of whoever she just landed on. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6) and gets 7. (missed by one) (Roll again, you both missed by one.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6) and gets 6. (on deh dot) [You roll yourself free fairly handily, although for a brief second it seems like she'd found purchase in grabbing your arms. Your roll gives you the image of other things surrounding you, but your flip makes it hard to see other than that they are both light and darkly colored.] (You're on the ground, mostly, still, since you rolled free.) * Taki bring brings the axe up first, and then tries to see what attacked her, "Who are you!?" (not trying to get to her feet just yet, kneeling if she can pull that much off) [The woman... well, the only way you can tell she's a woman is because she's a little taller than you, and much thinner, suddenly looks very scared. The only 'clothes' she seems to have on are a mix of bark and mud and other natural stuff, but it is at least making her decent. There are other people behind, all of them wearing similar mixes of tree and mud stuff. They all look... normal. Malnourished, dirty, but normal. Humans.] (Woman as opposed to 'girl', I might add, was what I was talking about beforehand..) [One of the males in the pack of other humans says, "An Earth Weapon!" They all gasp.] * Taki blinks and then puts said axe head down into the mud and uses it to push herself to her feet, "What are talking about?" [The girl who had jumped on your back is regaining her feet as well, and seems much happier now that the axe head isn't aiming at her. One of the males behind her says, quickly, "You got the weaepon from the earth people!" How he can be so excited by that, you aren't sure.] [She, for her part, looks you up and down and then says happily, "I'm Sheila, of the Bluewood Forest Tribe!"] ...I see. I'm Taki Shimiru. Is there something you want? (and I need to add these things in before hand, but she speaking in a rather sarcastic tone.) [Some of the humans make faces, and one of the taller girls says, "Your name's weird! What tribe are you?" Some of the males nod along with her, while the girl in front of you giggles and stares at your legs.] I have no tribe, nor do I want one. [Most of the people gasp, although not the woman in front of you. The talkative male says, "So you are outcast? Did the eearth people take you in?"] [One of the other males says, sorta quietely, "I never heard of that." Another girl says, "Me either!" Suddenly the whole group devolves into conversationy babble, about a human being taken in by the earth people, and how likely that is.] You could say that. I can't go home anyway. [The crowd quiets down, and a few of the women sniffle at that, saying, "How saaaaad." The one in front of you seems saddest of all, and rushes forward, arms outstretched to give you a hug.] * Taki lifts the axe back off the ground, "Don't." [The girl falls to a stop on the ground, saying, "Awwww."] [The talkative male says, "So why aren't you fighting with the rest of 'em? Aren't they all busy fighting?" Many of the humans seem sad at that, and some say things to the effect of, "They shouldn't fight. Va'bul wouldn't want it."] * Taki lowers the axe again, "They're done fighting for now." [The woman jumps to her feet, and EVERYONE seems happy. The talkative woman says, "That's wonderful." The male says, "Yes! We must return to the camp and tell people!"] Before you go... There is one thing I'd like ask. [Many of them have already turned and begun skipping away, although the talkative female and the grabby one who jumped you haven't yet, as well as a few males who seem to be eying you. The grabby one smiles happily and says, "What, Takishimiru?"] * Taki lifts the axe again, "I only just now found out I can't go home. I need something to hit. Any suggestions?" [The girl blinks, and says, suddenly, "You're a hunter! We're hunters too!"] * Taki eyes her axe, "With this...something that doesn't move, and can take a lot of hits." [The talkative woman says, "We have some practice statues that might stand up to an earth weapon." Sheila nod nods along. One of the males pipes up, "You should come back with us." The few others that remain all nod along in agreement, and one adds, "Then you can join us in the celebration!"] [Sheila pouts when the guys try to con you into celebrating.] * Taki rubs at her forehead with her free hand, "Not going to the party, and if your targets can't take this, I'll take another axe." [The males seem dissapointed, and slink off to join the rest of the group, while the females smile, pleased. The talkative one says, "Greig was looking for a mate anyway. It is good to stay away from him." Sheila nods, then says, "Come on! We can hit things. It will be better than a back ride."] * Taki glares at the departing male and tightens her grip on the axe, "Yes." [The talkative one turns and lopes off too, quickly. Sheila says, "Come on!" and starts walking, waiting for you to start moving.] * Taki picks the axe all the way out of the ground, and rests it on her shoulder again and follows Sheila. [When she turns, you can see that she has a flint knife stored in a pocket made into the small of her back, at the top of the bottom part of her 'clothing'.] [So you follow the pack of humans, and all of them, including Sheila, are skipping or running. They all seem very happy to be in motion, laughing and grinning and in general enjoying this way too much. They're following the river westward.] * Taki walks much slower than they do, but somehow never manages to fall behind the far too happy people. (Does that mean you're teleporting?) (Unless they're useing all that excessive energy to run circles, or just back and froth around her, yeah) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Mechalink (2d6) and gets 10. [Nobody seems to notice your weird method of locomotion. Sheila never looks back at the right time.] (I guessed right!) (Taki gets some luck! This can't last.) [Before too long, you do see a camp in the distance. There are some tent-like structures, many of them relying on nearby trees to hold themselves up. There are people down by the river, and some chldren, and in general, it seems just like a camp of people. It might accomadate 100-200 people.] [There are also some people, with wooden sticks, striking at some things you can't quite make out, in one area of the camp.] * Taki looks at the camplike camp, yep that's a camp alright, and they have targets. So far so good. She nearly grins. [Many of the 'hunters' peel off to one of the tents, and if you're watching them, you see that they must be carrying the spoils of the groups' kills. Sheila skips her way over to the training thing, while the talkative male and female go off to a different tent-like structure.] * Taki follows Sheila to the training things. [There are maybe four or five other people using sticks to strike at the things, which are made of mainly mud and stick structures, but stay together despite the abuse. Sheila picks up a couple sticks, and leads over to a last one, which is a big pillar of full-on solid rock. * Taki nods at the rock pillar, "This'll do. Yes." [Sheila claps happily. "Good!" She looks over at a different un-beaten target, and says, "I'll hit this one, and you can hit that one, okay!" It doesn't seem a question.] (One of the wooden ones?) (Yes, she's got a wooden stick, and is beating on a 'light' target, leaving you the 'heavy' target.) (Wait never mind, I missparsed.) * Taki walks up to the stone target and takes hold of the axe with both hands, she's not using the greatest stance in the world, but there's little danger of her hitting herself in the ribs with the handle or, cuttting off one of her own ears as she swings. (RDM says right before Dicy hands out the critfail.) [Taki can hit a solid stone target. And, despite all logic, it doesn't shatter! And neither does the axe. There is a slight 'humming', almost a reverberation, in the axe. Meanwhile, Sheila is dancing around her target. She may not be strong, but she is _quick_.] [You can hear the sound of flutes in the background, but they are low and soft, not high and piercing.] * Taki ignores Sheila and the flutes as best she can, there's a big stone thing here, and with a little imagination it can represent another big stone thing that's the reason she's here. (So you're just going to hit it and hit it and hit it?) (That has been her plan since the begining, hit things untill it hurts to move, she'll get more emotional as she gets more tired.) [Sheila continues hitting her thing too, although there seems no anger. The flutes gain more friends, and you may realize that some of those friend, especially the low pitched ones, are well off in the distance.] * Taki continues to swing her axe, only it's Vrmy she's beating up on now, the reason she was forced here, and he couldn't even handle two girls. What it wrong with this place!? (what is it that's) [The axe almost seems to sing, in the vibrations, now, as you hit the stone, and Sheila suddenly seems more attentive to your hitting than to her beating, although she is sure to keep her distance.] * Taki steps back for a short moment, and closes her eyes. She opens then up again and renews her attack on the pillar before it's tone fades. Tenjirou- if there was ever a man who deserved worse than he got it was him. If only she could kill him again! And Again! Again! Each thought another strike against the target. [For a second, the tone is discordant, then it is in rhythm wth your hits again. Sheila is just staring at you and the attacks at this point.] (about how tall is this thing?) (It's about two meters tall.) * Taki can't keep that pace up for long, and begins to slow down. Sheila and anybody else's who's gathered around can probibly see quite clearly that there are tears running down her face. [Sheila seems to have tears in her eyes too. None of the other hunters can see her face. The humming ring subsides, and as Taki starts to lose her focus, she can tell that the flutes have been joined by many.] (Her face being your face.) (right) * Taki brings the axe around for what seems like the hundredth time, but is closer to half of that, but the effort of it all is catching up to her and she misses the pillar compleatly- spining herself in a circle away from the target. She screams as she gets the axe back under controll and up for an overhand strike. * Taki jumps at the pillar, and then vanishs for an instant and then reapearing as she brings her axe down on what to her is a head of spiky orange hair over a smirking face that belongs to another man. (Man, my spelling is shot, and I don't think she can land on her feet from this one) [Sheila jumps back in surprise, and the pillar does not yield, but neither does your axe. It is, however, knocked out of your hands from the sheer impact, and you are so off balance you'd have to teleport again to land it.] d2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (d2) and gets 1. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Taki (2d6-3) and gets 5. * Taki skips the falling from the top of the pillar part, and instead lands heavly on her feet in front of it, not particulary caring where the axe winds up. She'll never finish what she started. (Que falling to knees, resting head on pillar and RDM starting to fall asleep in his char? o_O) (Really?) (Maybe? I think I zoned out for a bit there.) [Sheila looks at you, still a bit stunned.] * Taki takes a step twords the pillar, and then another one. She reaches out to steady herself against it, panting, "Damnit." (And with any luck this'll be the last time we see actual eggplant angst...or any other flavor.) [Sheila says, softly, "You seem sad, Takishimiru."] So there...are people here... who pay attention. * Taki turns so she's facing Sheila and slides down the pillar. (There are advantages of not wearing the ribbony things.) [Sheila runs over to you and kneels. Then tries to give you a quick hug.] * Taki doesn't resist the hug this time. [Sheila says softly, as she hugs as tightly as someone with an effective 3 BESM body can, "I'm so sorry, Takishimiru. I don't know how I could survive if I were an outcast..."] (Hey, Taki was an effective 2 at the start of the game! :P) That... makes two of us. [Sheila brings up a hand and wipes at your cheek. "Come, let us go eat. Have you eaeten yet?" It is actually fairly dark, now, although the camp is well lit by torch and fire.] * Taki shakes her head, "Not since..." * Taki continues after a brief pause, "ever actualy." [Sheila blinks in confusion, then says a little happily, enthusiastically, even, "I heard Hunli was cooking the meat tonight. It is appropriate, since we're celebrating, that our best cook does the meat." She extricates herself from the hug and stands.] That's good, I'd hate to think the worst cook was at it. [Shelia giggles a little, and offers Taki a hand.] * Taki slowy forces herself to her feet, not taking the offered help, "You can show me where to eat." [Sheila nods a little, not seeming daunted by Taki's coldness. Taki noticed that none of the people who were there before are there now.] ( She's cute! She reminds me way to much of you. Could you please not both talk at the same time? @_@) (Snicker.) So...food? [You are in the human village. There's a large area around a fire where people are playing flutes, and dancing, and eating. There's a man walking around with green/brown plants and meat on sticks, which people seem to be taking freely.] [Sheila is just in front of you, mostly happy as per normal for her. No surprises there.] * Taki rubs her right shoulder with her left hand, definatly going to be feeling this in the morning, but the anger's abated, so the next priority is food...which the waiter guy just happens to have. * Taki stops following Sheila and heads for the guy with the food on sticks. [The guy has gravitated over your way. Sheila sees you break off and tags along, waving at the food guy. You reach him quickly.] [He's maybe a half-foot taller than you, and yes, he has food! He smiles at you and says, "So, you're the woman from the earth people? I'm Hunli."] Yes and yes. I am Taki Shimiru, and I want some of what you have. [He lowers the food for you to take. Sheila comes up behind you and grabs a plant thing and one of the meat sticks, and says, "She's lucky that you're the cook today, Hunli." He laughs richly and says, "Everyone is." The music in the background has stopped for a brief bit.] * Taki snorts and then winces slightly before taking a single meat stick, "Thanks." * Taki then takes a bite out it. [Hunli nods, and says, "There's plenty more." The meat stick you have grabbed tastes a little like venison. There look to be a few more types, one you're almost certain is fish.] [A few kids scamper up and Hunli obliges them by offering them foods that they take. The music starts up again: It's slow and has drums behind it.] * Taki glances around for a place to sit, or if the others are even sitting while they eat, "Then I'll come back for more when this is done." [Hunli nods and continues smiling, and then moves off once the kids are done. There's no real place to sit. A lot of people are just sitting on dry patches, or wet patches, or kneeling on the same. Some are just standing.] [Almost everyone is smiling or even laughing, if they're not playing an instrument. You do see the talkative man and woman from before, they are currently talking with an older human.] * Taki takes another bite and remains standing for now, listening to the sounds of the music, and the happy people and the distant river. [Sheila wraps her meat in the plant stuff and takes a bite. She makes a hrming noise, then says, brightly, "Do you like it, Takishimiru?"] [The happy people are happy to accomodate you in being listened to.] * Taki tilts her head, "Different, but it seems to be good." [Sheila says, "Great! I did not know if you liked meat. The earth people do not eat much of it."] I am not one of the ... ... earth people. * Taki makes a bit of a face when she finishes that sentance. [Sheila makes a funny face, "I know that, silly... but you're living with them, and I didn't kow how long you'd been... um... outcast."] I don't know how long that'll last, and as for my being outcast... most of my life. It's not something that I like to talk about. * Taki takes another bite. [Sheila nods and says, "I'm sorry. You were sad." She blinks, then points over at a guy. He's sorta tall, and a bit less dirty than pretty much everyone around here. "Look, it's Bert. He's the young leader of our tribe."] [She says excitedly, "I haven't seen him in a long time. They must have called for him when they heard the war was over!"] * Taki obligingly looks over at Bert, "where would he have gone?" ["He was with another hunting group, silly!" She pauses for a second, then adds, "I think he was fishing. We have... um... lots of hunting groups in the tribe."] Ahhh. I suppose he'll want to hear the entire story. [Sheila's face brightens. "Oh, he might! We all would love to hear a story."] [Sheila then points out the old person that the talkatives were talking to. She is very dirty, and has all sorts of weird things on her. Looks kinda like a shaman. "She's the old leader, Krystal. She's been with us a while because of Hunli's good cooking. She knows lots of stories."] * Taki snorts, "I might have enough time to hear them." [Sheila brightens. "Really? You're gonna stay here for a while, Takishimiru?"] ["I bet you're a great hunter!"] There is one thing I still need from the "earth people" after that, who knows. [Sheila nods and eats a bit more. A different guy, who you may or may not remember from the hunting party, comes up near you and says, "Hello, Sheila, Takishimiru. I'm James." He smiles at you very happily.] ...Yes? [He gestures towards the people who have begun dancing and continues smiling. "The celebration's started, so would ya like to dance with us?"] [Sheila's smile slips from her face, and she chews a bit sullenly.] (He's also taller than you by a bit less than Hunli.) * Taki looks up at him and says firmly, "No, I would not." [James nods slightly, then looks over at the unhappy Sheila, then chuckles. "I don't think I'll ask her," he says to you, then waves. "Feel free to join in anyway." He bows slightly to you, and goes to where the dancers are, where he proceeds to dance! Amazing.] [Sheila waits until he's gone before saying, "Stupid James," and eating a little more.] * Taki gives a lopsided shrug, "Don't let me stop you from dancing." [Sheila looks over at Taki and shakes her head. "Oh, I'll dance a lot later. Just not when James is."] [Since you're peoplewatching, you see the talkative male guy pointing you out to Bart, while the female one shares a laugh with the old shaman woman.] (Yay people! And sorry I'm a bit slow in responding tonight, I keep realizing that I'm giving Keika responces, and having to edit out her caring slightly. ^^;) (Ha. That's OK.) If you want. * Taki looks over at Bart as she's pointed to. [Sheila looks over at you curiously and says, "You don't dance at all?" Bart looks at you for a second in the firelight, and nods along with what the talkative guy is saying.] * Taki looks back at Sheila, "Not in years." ["But it's time to celebrate!"] For you. [She makes an odd face, as if not understanding that. "Why not for you? The war's over. Maybe they'll fix things now!"] Because, it is impossible for me to do what I have to do, and not even fixing this world of yours will change that. [Sheila still looks confused, and says, "Whaddya gotta do?"] I have to kill two people who are too far away for me to get to. [Shelia blinks and looks away, before saying, "Oh. Um. Sorry."] Don't apologise for things that arn't your fault. [She looks towards you. "It's sad you have to kill people, though. Nobody should have to kill people."] * Taki gives that lopsided shrug again, "They've done so... They need to be stopped from killing more people." [Sheila ahs and nods. "Like the fire people were."] ["I guess you have to then, but if they're really far away, you shouldn't worry about it!"] This is _not_ something I can walk away from. [Sheila flinches slightly, and says, "But that doesn't mean you can't dance now."] * Taki points twords the dancers, "That is for people who have a reason to celebrate, and can forget about their problems for a while." ["You're alive, aren't you? Everyone can celebrate that... right?"] If that's true, why do we fight? [Sheila looks sorta confused as she tries to frame an answer, then a male voice speaks up from to both of your sides, towards the dancers. "Because sometimes, people can't be happy with what they've got."] * Taki looks over at the new speaker quickly. [It's Bart! Who's surprised. He's actually not bad looking, if you're into the lean tribal hunter look. He bows his head slightly. "Takishimiru. I'm Bart, young leader of the Bluewood Forest Tribe. Sorry, but I had to interrupt." He nods at Sheila and says, "Hi, Sheila."] [Sheila looks over at Bart and smiles a little, but then looks back at you. "I dunno, Takishimiru."] * Taki nods at Bart, "He's right." [Bart smiles a little and says, "I'm not big on fighting, but that's what it's always been about to me."] It's the same. [Bart nods slightly, and says, "We're very glad you told us the fighting was over. It means a lot to us to know that the Haks aren't fighting anymore." Sheila nods along enthusiastically.] They might start again, but for now the earth has the leader of the fire and his daughter, so for a little while at least. [Bart blinks, and says, "Really? Wow. I didn't think... wow."] * Taki seems to grin for an instant, "What did you think had happened?" [Bart says, "I really didn't know. The last I saw, the earth people were just.. trying to keep from getting crushed." He looks sad at that. "I almost thought that they'd have to destroy the fire essence crystal."] They called in help, unfortunatly for everybody involved they can't send us back. [Bart and Sheila both take a step back. Sheila blurts out, "You helped?" Bart, perhaps luckily, is a bit more reserved.] I didn't have much of a choice, but yes, I did help. [Sheila says, "Wowie." Bart says, "It's... great to know that the fight was stopped without destroying any more essence crystals."] * Taki shrugs, "So people keep telling me." * Taki then switches which hand she's holding the stick in so she can rub her shoulder. [Bart blinks at the rubbing of your shoulder, and says, "Does your shoulder hurt?" He glances over at Sheila, who blushes and says, "I'm sorry, Bart, she didn't like it when I was on her shoulders earlier."] Just sore, I've done a lot today. [Bart says, "I can only imagine, if you helped stop the big fight." He leans over a little closer to you and says quietly, "Sheila is just too nervous to ask if she can rub your shoulder for you, but she really would. She's a nice girl."] * Taki thinks about that for a bit, "Maybe after I've had a bath." [Sheila brightens happily and Bart blinks, then laughs slightly. "I am sorry to laugh, but you look as if you bathed just yesterday. You must normally live next to a river, or perhaps a lake?"] An ocean, but I don't bathe in that. [He blinks, and says, "The ocean? You are a long way from the ocean, but not so long that an earth person couldn't use their magic to--" he is interrupted by a quiet, yet forceful female voice from behind him. "She is not from that ocean, Bart."] * Taki looks behind him, expecting to see Crystal. [Your expectation is correct, indeed, Krystal, who is actually shorter than you, is behind him. She bows deeply to you and looks at you with deep blue eyes, so deep you can only tell they're blue when the firelight flicks your way just right. "I welcome one connected to the spirit of K'lra'k."] [Bart looks slightly confused at her revelation, and Sheila is just way out of her depth at this point, so she's smiling in a relentlessly cheery manner.] * Taki bows back, "K'la'k?" (acursed japanese having l and r as the same sound) [She says again, "K'lra'k, goddess of the water, and the Yu'Kan water people. It is said her blood could freeze anything." She smiles slightly, showing that, as you'd expect, dental hygene among these humans isn't so hot. "Or have I misread you?"] * Taki shakes her head, "Not my blood, and not anything." [She cackles. "Well, I did not say you were K'lra'k, did I?"] True. [Bart laughs slightly, and says, 'That's our Krystal. More perceptive than anyone." ANOTHER voice pipes up, "Except me. I knew you two would distract her from my delicious food." Everyone laughs. It's Hunli! And he has more food, which the group of people around you are glad to take more of.] * Taki takes two sticks this time around, and tries what Sheila did last time. [The plants add a bit of texture to the meat. It might be reminiscent of some of the ways sushi is prepared, even though one of those sticks is of the deer type again. Krystal, for her part, has eaten down a slab of fish in one bite, and given a nod to Hunli, who rolls his eyes and walks off, muttering something.] * Taki nods to herself as she takes in the new taste. [Bart says, "I am sure you can have a bath whenever you like." Krystal nods slightly, and adds, "Although it would make an old woman happy if you could share more of what happened at some time. But there is never a hurry."] * Taki chews and swallows, "I have a few things left to do, telling you what happened today won't take long." [Krystal smiles again, while Bart says, "We should gather everyone, so they all can listen." Sheila nods and says, "It would be really neat!"] I ...am not a good story teller. [Sheila makes an awwing noise, and Krystal smiles slightly, before saying, as if sharing a joke with you, "Bart has never understood the value of practicing a story. He thinks everything is direct and simple. It is why he's young."] It's so much simpler when you don't have to think about things. [Sheila and Bart both seem a little lost at the meaning on that, but Krystal nods, and gestures at a patch of ground. "So, are you ready, then, or perhaps your bath should be first?"] Bath first. [Bart smiles a little. Krystal nods, and points off into the distance. "I, sadly, cannot join you," she kicks Bart in the shin. "And neither can he. Tribal duty and all. But Sheila may go if you like."] I don't care one way or the other. [Sheila brightens and says, "I'll go with Takishimiru, then! Maybe Jason will be gone then." Bart doesn't seem to understand why she says that, but Krystal nods once and waves to both of you. "Enjoy your baths."] * Taki bows again as they leave. [Session end!]
